Prayer Starter - Tuesday, December 23, 2025 - The GIft of Prayer
Over the past few months if you have joined me in these daily prayer starters, we have been reminded again and again that prayer is God’s open invitation to walk with Him every day. Through prayer, we are never alone — whether in moments of gratitude, uncertainty, struggle, or quiet reflection. Prayer is not about having the right words, but about showing up with an honest heart. God meets us where we are, just as we are.
Prayer is also how we build a real and growing relationship with God. As we talk with Him and learn to listen, our trust deepens and our faith matures. Through prayer, God gently aligns our hearts with His will, strengthens us for daily living, and reminds us that He is always near. Prayer brings peace to anxious minds and hope to weary souls. It is not just a spiritual habit, but a daily lifeline. Prayer is evidence of a God who desires relationship and delights in hearing the voices of His children.
“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” — James 4:8 (ESV)
Lord, thank You for the gift of prayer and the invitation to draw near to You. Teach me to come honestly, to listen as well as speak, and to trust that You are always present. Shape my heart to align with Your will, and deepen my relationship with You each day. I place my worries, my gratitude, and my hopes in Your loving hands.
Continue Your Prayer this morning.
In Jesus' Name; Amen.
